of <h1>India Amends Customs Notification: 'Fixed Deposit Receipt' Now Includes 'Bank Guarantee' Under Condition No. 93.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), has issued Notification No. 43/2012-Customs, amending Notification No. 12/2012-Customs. This amendment, effective as of June 27, 2012, modifies Condition No. 93 in the annexure of the original notification. Specifically, it replaces the term 'Fixed Deposit Receipt' with 'Fixed Deposit Receipt or Bank Guarantee.' This change is enacted under the authority of Section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
