of <h1>Central Government exempts Section 65A of Finance Act, 1994 from July 1, 2012; previous actions remain unaffected.</h1> The Central Government, under the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 65A of the Finance Act, 1994, has issued Notification No. 21/2012-Service Tax, declaring that the provisions of section 65A will not apply from July 1, 2012. This change does not affect actions taken or omitted before this date. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, on June 5, 2012, and is set to be published in the Gazette of India.
