of <h1>India Amends Central Excise Rules: Bhutan Excluded, Nepal Included in Revised Treaty Effective March 2012, Notif. 24/2011</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 24/2011-Central Excise (N.T.) amending Notification No. 19/2004-Central Excise (N.T.) dated 6th September 2004. This amendment, effective from 1st March 2012, modifies the text in the opening paragraph to exclude only Bhutan, instead of both Nepal and Bhutan, from certain provisions under the Central Excise Rules, 2002. This change reflects a revised treaty between India and Nepal.
