of <h1>Medicinal and Toilet Preparations Act Amended: Changes Effective August 1, 2011, per Finance Act 2011, Section 76.</h1> An amendment to the Medicinal and Toilet Preparations (Excise Duties) Act, 1955, under section 76 of the Finance Act, 2011, will take effect from August 1, 2011. This notification, issued by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, was published on July 28, 2011, under Notification No. 1/2011-M&TP. The Central Government has exercised its powers to enforce the provisions of this section as of the specified date.
