of <h1>India Updates Tariff Values for Brass Scrap and Poppy Seeds Under Customs Act 1962; Other Oils Unchanged</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has amended Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) concerning tariff values for specific goods under the Customs Act, 1962. The updated notification, No. 42/2011-Customs (N.T.), dated 30th June 2011, maintains existing tariff values for crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, other palm oils, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, other palmolein, and crude soybean oil. However, the tariff values for brass scrap and poppy seeds are set at 4317 and 2405 US dollars per metric tonne, respectively.
