<h1>Delhi VAT Act Amended to Grant Tax Exemption for Red Cross Purchases in New Delhi per Sixth Schedule Amendment</h1> The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has amended the Sixth Schedule of the Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004, to grant VAT exemption/refund to the South Asia Regional Delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in New Delhi for official purchases. This amendment, effective immediately, was made following a request from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The notification details the inclusion of this organization in the list of international organizations eligible for VAT refund under the Act.
