<h1>India Revises Customs Duties: 5% on Naphtha, 10% on Key Chemicals, 15% on Specific Polymers Excluding Poly Iso Butylene.</h1> The Central Government of India has issued Notification No. 103/2004-Customs, dated September 30, 2004, amending the earlier notification No. 21/2002-Customs. This amendment introduces customs duty reductions on specific plastics and chemicals. The changes include a 5% duty on naphtha used for manufacturing certain polymers and a 10% duty on ethylene, propylene, butylene, butadiene, benzene, toluene, o-xylene, styrene, ethylbenzene, ethylene dichloride, vinyl chloride monomer, and acrylonitrile. Additionally, a 15% duty is applied to various polymers of ethylene and vinyl chloride, excluding poly iso butylene.
