of <h1>Form 61 Amended: New Applications for Corporate Matters Under Companies Act, 1956, Sections 642 & 610B</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued a notification amending the Companies (Central Government's) General Rules and Forms, 1956. Effective from its publication date, the amendment revises Form 61 in Annexure 'A'. The updated form includes applications for various corporate matters such as the compounding of offenses, extending the period for annual general meetings and accounts, declaring a defunct company, schemes of arrangement or amalgamation, normalizing a dormant company, and other related applications. This amendment is enacted under the authority of sections 642 and 610B of the Companies Act, 1956.
