of <h1>Govt Forms Committee Under Section 205C(4) to Oversee Investor Education Fund; Includes Key Financial Regulators.</h1> The Central Government, under Section 205C(4) of the Companies Act, 1956, has established a committee to oversee the Investor Education and Protection Fund. This committee includes members from the Ministry of Company Affairs, Reserve Bank of India, Securities and Exchange Board of India, and other appointed individuals. The Secretary of the Ministry of Company Affairs will serve as the Chairman, and the Joint Secretary will act as the Convener. Members will serve a two-year term starting from the date of the notification, issued on March 21, 2006.
