The Central Government has authorized an official from the Serious Fraud Investigation Office, within the Ministry of Company Affairs, to file and conduct prosecutions related to these offences. This authorization is granted under the powers conferred by section 621(1) of the Companies Act, 1956, as specified in the notification dated March 16, 2006.
