of <h1>Section 7 of Companies (Amendment) Act, 2000 to be effective March 1, 2001, per government notification.</h1> The Central Government, through the Ministry of Law, Justice and Company Affairs, has issued a notification under the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2000. This notification, dated February 27, 2001, specifies that the provisions of section 7 of the Amendment Act will come into effect on March 1, 2001. The notification is authorized by the powers granted under sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Act.
