<h1>Amendment to Rule 8: Share Certificates No Longer Required to be Printed on Specific Sized Paper.</h1> The Companies (Issue of Share Certificates) Amendment Rules, 1994, amends rule 8 of the Companies (Issue of Share Certificates) Rules, 1960. The amendment, effective from its publication date in the Official Gazette, removes the requirement that share certificates be printed on paper of a specific size, namely 297 millimeters in length and 210 millimeters in width. This change was enacted by the Central Government under the authority granted by section 642 of the Companies Act, 1956.
