of <h1>Central Government Revokes 1969 Delegation of Share Transfer Authority to Regional Directors Under Companies Act, 1956.</h1> The Central Government has rescinded a previous notification, dated December 15, 1969, which delegated its powers under subsection (1D) of section 108 of the Companies Act, 1956, to Regional Directors in Bombay, Calcutta, Madras, and Kanpur. This rescission removes the authority previously granted to these Regional Directors to oversee the transfer of shares for companies within their respective jurisdictions. The original delegation was made under the powers conferred by section 637 of the Companies Act, 1956, and was subject to the control of the Company Law Board.
