This appointment is made under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962. The Commissioner will oversee cases involving various parties from Mumbai, such as Rico Gems, GNG & Co., Shreenath Enterprises, Estelle Impex, and Nikki Enterprises. These cases were initially issued by the Commissioner or Additional Commissioner of Customs (Prev.), Mumbai, and will now be adjudicated by designated officers at Sahar ACC and Nava Sheva.
