of <h1>Additional Commissioner Appointed as Common Adjudicating Authority for Matex International Case Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has appointed the Additional or Joint Commissioner of Customs in Ludhiana as the Common Adjudicating Authority to handle matters related to a show cause notice issued to M/s Matex International and others. This appointment is made under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, specifically for adjudicating issues originating from a notice dated October 29, 2010, issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ludhiana Regional Unit. The appointed authority will exercise powers and duties similar to those of the Additional or Joint Commissioner of Customs at Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House, Maharashtra.
