of <h1>Government Approves IT & ITES Special Economic Zone Expansion in Gurgaon; Complies with SEZ Act 2005 Regulations.</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT Enabled Services by a private company at Village Behrampur, District Gurgaon, Haryana. Initially notified in 2009, the SEZ area was modified by de-notifying 2.1601 hectares and adding 4.8817 hectares, resulting in a total area of 21.59023 hectares. This adjustment was made following proposals submitted by the company and after ensuring compliance with the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and related rules. The changes were officially conveyed in June and August 2010 and are documented in the notification.
