This appointment is to exercise powers and duties typically held by the Commissioner of Customs, Tuticorin for adjudicating matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to an individual and others. This notice, dated March 31, 2009, was issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Chennai Zonal Unit. The notification is pursuant to powers granted under the Customs Act, 1962.
