of <h1>India Appoints Common Adjudicating Authority for Customs Cases in Kanpur, Chennai, and Bangalore Under Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 88/2010-Customs (N.T.) appointing a Common Adjudicating Authority. The Central Board of Excise and Customs designates the Additional Commissioner or Joint Commissioner of Customs at the Inland Container Depot, Tughlakabad, to adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company in Kanpur and others. This authority will also exercise powers and duties previously held by officials at the Sea Port-Import in Chennai and the Inland Container Depot in Bangalore, as per the Customs Act, 1962.
