of <h1>Indian Govt Appoints Mumbai Customs Official as Common Adjudicating Authority for DRI Show Cause Notice under Customs Act Section 4</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 89/2010-Customs (N.T.) appointing the Additional Commissioner or Joint Commissioner of Customs (Imports) at New Customs House, Mumbai as the Common Adjudicating Authority. This appointment is to adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company and others by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad Zonal Unit. This decision is made under the authority granted by section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962, transferring adjudicatory powers from Chennai to Mumbai.
