<h1>Central Board of Excise and Customs Sets New Exchange Rates for Imports/Exports Effective September 1, 2010</h1> Notification No. 77/2010 issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, establishes the exchange rates for converting foreign currencies into Indian rupees for import and export transactions effective from September 1, 2010. This supersedes the previous notification No. 67/2010. The notification lists exchange rates for various currencies, including the US Dollar, Euro, and Japanese Yen, applicable to both imported and exported goods. For example, the rate for the US Dollar is set at 47.25 INR for imports and 46.30 INR for exports.
