of <h1>India appoints Customs Commissioner for show cause notice adjudication across key New Delhi and Maharashtra locations under Customs Act.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 72/2010-Customs (N.T.) dated August 12, 2010. This notification appoints the Joint/Additional Commissioner of Customs (Imports) at ICD, Patparganj, New Delhi, as the authority to exercise powers and duties for adjudicating matters related to a show cause notice issued to a company and others. This appointment extends the jurisdiction of the Commissioner to include roles at ICD Tughlakabad, Air Cargo Complex in New Delhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House in Maharashtra, as per the Customs Act, 1962.
