of <h1>Amritsar Customs Commissioner Appointed as Common Adjudicating Authority for Show Cause Notice Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has appointed the Commissioner of Customs in Amritsar as the Common Adjudicating Authority. This appointment is made under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, for adjudicating matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company and others by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence. The Commissioner will assume the responsibilities and duties of the Commissioner of Customs (Import) in Maharashtra for this purpose, as detailed in the notification dated 7th July 2010.
