of <h1>India Implements Clean Energy Cess Effective July 1, 2010, Under Chapter VII, Finance Act, 2010</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has announced the implementation of the Clean Energy Cess under the Finance Act, 2010. This notification, identified as 01/2010-Clean Energy Cess, specifies that the provisions outlined in Chapter VII of the Finance Act, 2010, will become effective on July 1, 2010. The enactment is authorized by the powers granted under sub-section (2) of section 83 of the aforementioned Act.
