of <h1>India Revises Tariff Values for Brass Scrap and Poppy Seeds; New Rates Effective April 30, 2010, per Customs Act 1962.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 35/2010-Customs (N.T.) amending Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) dated August 3, 2001. This amendment, effective from April 30, 2010, revises the tariff values for certain goods under the Customs Act, 1962. The goods affected include crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, other palm oils, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, other palmolein, crude soyabean oil, brass scrap, and poppy seeds. The tariff values for these items remain unchanged except for brass scrap and poppy seeds, which are set at $3920 and $3468 per metric tonne, respectively.
