<h1>New Customs Notification Sets Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies Effective April 1, 2010; Supersedes Previous Notification /2010</h1> Notification No. 26/2010-Customs (N.T.) issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs, effective from April 1, 2010, determines the exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees for import and export purposes. This notification supersedes the previous Notification No. 17/2010-CUSTOMS (N.T.). The exchange rates are detailed in two schedules: Schedule I lists rates for individual foreign currencies, such as the US Dollar at 45.90 for imports and 45.00 for exports, while Schedule II provides rates for 100 units of Japanese Yen at 49.90 for imports and 48.45 for exports.
