<h1>India Appoints Mumbai Customs Commissioner as Common Adjudicating Authority for Delhi DRI Show Cause Notices</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 12/2010-Customs (N.T.) appointing the Commissioner of Customs (Adjudication) in Mumbai as the Common Adjudicating Authority. This appointment is made under the Customs Act, 1962, empowering the Commissioner to adjudicate matters concerning Show Cause Notices issued to M/s. Jindal Fine Industries and others. These notices were originally issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Delhi Zonal Unit. The Commissioner will exercise authority over matters typically handled by the Commissioners of Customs in Kolkata and Amritsar.
