of <h1>Government De-notifies IT Special Economic Zone in Navi Mumbai, Reverses Previous Approval Under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued a notification regarding the de-notification of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) initially proposed by a private organization in Maharashtra. The SEZ, intended for information technology and related services, was to be established at Raheja Infocity-II in Navi Mumbai, covering an area of 13.07 hectares. The Central Government had previously approved the SEZ under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, but has now approved the de-notification of the entire area as of June 25, 2009. The notification rescinds the previous approval, maintaining actions taken before this rescission.
