Commencement of SEZ provisions: Sections 20-22 activated under the Act by Central Government notification. The Central Government, invoking the enabling power in sub-section (3) of Section 1 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, by notification appointed 13th January 2010 as the date on which Sections 20, 21 and 22 of the Act shall come into force, thereby commencing those provisions.
