of <h1>Customs Act Update: New Delhi Commissioner Appointed to Oversee Adjudication of Show Cause Notices for Multiple Ports</h1> The Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 183/2009-Customs (N.T.) appointing the Commissioner of Customs at the Inland Container Depot, Tughlakabad, New Delhi, as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the Customs Act, 1962, empowering the Commissioner to adjudicate matters related to Show Cause Notices issued to M/s. Shivalik Impex and others. The Commissioner will exercise authority over cases involving the Commissioners of Customs at JNPT, Nhava Sheva, Chennai, and Kandla. This decision was made to streamline the adjudication process for the specified notices issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Delhi Zonal Unit.
