India Exempts Commonwealth Heads, Spouses, Delegates from Foreign Travel Tax for 1980 Meeting Under Section 36 Finance Act

The Central Government, under section 36 of the Finance Act, 1979, exempts Heads of Governments, their spouses, and delegates from specified countries attending the Commonwealth Heads of Governments Regional Meeting in New Delhi from September 4-8, 1980, from paying foreign travel tax. This exemption applies to their international travel from India following the meeting. The notification remains effective until September 10, 1980.
