of <h1>Pudukkottai Palace in Tiruchirapalli Declared Official Residence of Ex-Ruler Under Paragraph 13 of 1949 Order</h1> The Central Government has declared the Pudukkottai Palace at Tiruchirapalli as the official residence of the ex-ruler of Pudukkottai. This decision follows a request by the ex-ruler and is in accordance with paragraph 13 of the Merged States (Taxation Concessions) Order, 1949. The declaration is effective from the date the Government of Tamil Nadu acquired the New Palace at Pudukkottai on May 14, 1976. This notification is issued under the provisions of the Merged States (Taxation Concessions) Order, 1949, and the General Clauses Act, 1897.
