of <h1>Finance Ministry Appoints Bhavnagar Commissioner as Adjudicating Authority for Customs Cases Under Notification No. 166/2009-Customs (N.T.)</h1> The Government of India, through its Ministry of Finance, issued Notification No. 166/2009-Customs (N.T.) appointing the Commissioner of Central Excise, Bhavnagar as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, to oversee adjudication related to Show Cause Notices involving M/s. Rachna Seeds Industries and others. The Commissioner will exercise powers and duties of the Commissioners of Customs from Kandla, Jamnagar, and Nhava Sheva. This is in connection with notices issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad, dated February 25, 2009.
