of <h1>Customs Commissioner in Ahmedabad Appointed as Adjudicating Authority for 2008 Show Cause Notice Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has appointed the Commissioner of Customs at the Custom House in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment allows the Commissioner to exercise powers and duties related to adjudicating matters concerning a Show Cause Notice issued to a corporation and others. The notice, dated January 31, 2008, was issued by the Additional Director General of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad Zonal Unit. This appointment is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is documented in Notification No. 154/2009-Customs (N.T.) dated October 9, 2009.
