<h1>Joint Commissioner of Customs at Nhava Sheva appointed as common adjudicating authority under Customs Act, 1962 for DRI case.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has appointed the Joint Commissioner of Customs (Import) at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Nhava Sheva, Maharashtra, as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the Customs Act, 1962, to oversee and adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company and others by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad. The Joint Commissioner will also exercise powers and duties of the Joint Commissioners at the Air Cargo Complex in Mumbai and the Custom House in Ahmedabad for these proceedings.
