<h1>India Appoints New Delhi Commissioner of Customs as Common Adjudicating Authority for Show Cause Notice Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 152/2009-Customs (N.T.) appointing the Commissioner of Customs (Adjudication) in New Delhi as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the Customs Act, 1962, granting the commissioner the authority to adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to M/s. Siddharath Oils and others. The commissioner will exercise powers and duties initially designated to the Commissioners of Customs at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Maharashtra, and the Custom House in Amritsar.
