<h1>India Appoints Mumbai Customs Commissioner as Common Adjudicator for Revenue Intelligence Cases Across Multiple Cities</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 150/2009-Customs (N.T.) appointing the Commissioner of Customs (Adjudication) in Mumbai as the common adjudicating authority. This appointment is made under the powers of the Customs Act, 1962, to oversee and adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company and others by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence. The Commissioner will exercise authority over multiple customs commissioners across various locations including Mumbai, Nhava Sheva, Kolkata, New Delhi, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Kandla, and Ahmedabad.
