of <h1>New Exchange Rates for Foreign Currency to INR Set for Imports Effective August 1, 2003</h1> Notification No. 58/2003 - Customs (N.T.), issued on 28th July 2003, establishes the exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian Rupees for imported goods, effective from 1st August 2003. This supersedes the previous notification No. 40/2003-NT-Customs dated 25th June 2003. The rates are detailed in two schedules: Schedule I lists rates for one unit of foreign currency, including the US Dollar at 46.35 INR and the Euro at 53.20 INR. Schedule II provides the rate for 100 units of Japanese Yen at 38.90 INR.
