of <h1>Sri Aurobindo Society Approved Under Income-tax Act for Social Science Research from 2009-2010 Onwards.</h1> Sri Aurobindo Society, Kolkata has been approved by the Central Government under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for assessment year 2009-2010 onwards, as an institution partly engaged in social science research. The approval requires the organization to utilize funds for social science research, conducted by faculty or students, and maintain separate audited accounts for these activities. The organization must also provide a certified statement of donations and expenditures. Failure to adhere to these conditions, including maintaining accurate records or continuing genuine research activities, may result in withdrawal of approval by the Central Government.
