of <h1>India Amends Export Policy: Allows Annual Export of Stone Aggregate and River Sand to Maldives Under Notification No. 36/1998.</h1> The Central Government has amended the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, allowing the export of sands and soils to the Maldives. This amendment, effective from Notification No. 36/1998 dated 16-12-1998, permits the export of up to 100,000 metric tons of stone aggregate and 110,000 metric tons of river sand annually. This decision, made under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, is issued in the public interest.
