Processed Pulses in Consumer Packs Up to 5kg Removed from Restricted Export List, Chapter 16, Part II, Para 16.2
The Central Government has amended the Export & Import Policy of 1997-2002, specifically Chapter 16, Part II, Paragraph 16.2, concerning restricted export items. The amendment removes processed pulses in consumer packs up to 5 kilograms from the restricted list, allowing their export without a license. This change also applies to processed pulses made from those imported under the Duty Exemption Scheme or by Export Oriented Units (EOUs) or units in Export Processing Zones (EPZs). This amendment is issued in the public interest and is authorized by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
