of <h1>Marine Freight Containers by EOUs Classified as Deemed Exports with Payment in Foreign Exchange per 1997 Policy Amendment</h1> Notification No. 24/1997, dated December 3, 1997, issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade, amends the Export and Import Policy of 1997-2002. It classifies the supply of marine freight containers by 100% Export Oriented Units (EOUs) to shipping companies, including the Shipping Corporation of India, as deemed exports. This classification applies when payments are received in free foreign exchange.
