<h1>Amendment to Export and Import Policy: Benefits Extended to Power, Oil, and Gas Sectors; Special Imprest Licence Revised</h1> The Central Government has amended the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992. The amendment includes changes to Paragraphs 10.2(g) and 7.6 of the policy. Paragraph 10.2(g) now extends the benefits of deemed exports to domestic supplies in the Power, Oil, and Gas Sectors, including refineries, as approved by the Ministry of Finance. Paragraph 7.6 has been revised to allow manufacturer exporters a Special Imprest Licence for importing inputs needed for goods supplied to specified sectors, including refineries. These amendments are issued in the public interest.
