of <h1>Government Issues ITC (HS) Classification for Export and Import Items 1997-2002 Under Foreign Trade Act 1992</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, has issued Notification No. 02/1997 dated March 31, 1997. This notification announces the 'ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002' as per the Export and Import Policy for 1997-2002. The classification details are provided in the attached annexure. This notification is issued in the public interest and is authorized by the Director General of Foreign Trade, who also serves as the Ex-Officio Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
