of <h1>Government Extends Customs Exemption for Antarctica Expedition Goods to December 31, 1988, Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act.</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, has amended a previous notification concerning customs exemptions for goods intended for the Antarctica Expedition. The amendment extends the validity of the exemption from the original end date of December 31, 1985, to a new end date of December 31, 1988. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest and modifies the earlier notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, dated January 16, 1985.
