<h1>India's Central Government Exempts Coffee Exports from Customs Duty Over Rs. 600 per Quintal under Notification No. 29/86-Cus</h1> The Central Government of India, exercising its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 29/86-Cus dated January 31, 1986, which supersedes the previous notification No. 247/85-Customs from August 2, 1985. This notification exempts coffee, classified under Heading No. 1 of the Second Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, from customs duty exceeding Rs. 600 per quintal when exported from India. This decision is made in the public interest to facilitate coffee exports.
