of <h1>Government Exempts Spinning Waste from Partial Customs Duty under Notification No. 32/86-Cus, Enhancing Public Interest Measures</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 32/86-Cus dated February 7, 1986, to exempt spinning waste (hard waste) classified under Heading No. 56.01/04 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, from a portion of the customs duty. This exemption applies when the waste is imported into India and reduces the duty to an amount calculated at a rate of 100 percent ad valorem, aiming to serve the public interest.
