<h1>New Customs Duty Exemptions for Real Pearls, Platinum Scrap, and Indian Coins Effective Feb 28, 1986 Under Notification 60/86-Cus.</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 60/86-Cus, dated February 17, 1986, exempting certain goods from portions of customs duties when imported into India. The exemption applies to goods specified in the table, including real pearls (raw or unworked) under heading 7101.10 at a 40% ad valorem rate, waste and scrap of platinum under heading 7112.20 at a 60% ad valorem rate, and current coins of the Government of India under heading 7118.90 at a nil rate. This notification takes effect on February 28, 1986.
