of <h1>New Customs Duties Set for PVC: Rs. 15,000/Tonne for Paste/Battery Grade, Rs. 10,500/Tonne for Other Types</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended a previous notification from March 1, 1986, concerning goods under Chapter 39. The amendment specifies new customs duties for Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). For paste grade resin or battery grade resin, the duty is set at Rs. 15,000 per tonne, while for other types of PVC, the duty is Rs. 10,500 per tonne. This adjustment is made in the public interest, replacing the prior entries for Serial No. 3 in the notification's annexed table.
