<h1>India Exempts Specified Goods from Auxiliary Customs Duties under Customs Act 1962 & Finance Act 1986</h1> The Government of India, under the Customs Act, 1962 and the Finance Act, 1986, has issued a notification exempting certain specified goods from auxiliary customs duties when imported into India. The exemption applies to a range of goods listed in an annexed table, which includes dried skim milk, pulses, prunes, grains, tallow, various oils, infant milk foods, sulfur, salt, zinc concentrates, diesel oil, fertilizers, educational film strips, raw hides, wood, newsprint, cotton, refractory bricks, glass beads, pearls, precious stones, magnesium, industrial machinery, and various electrical measuring instruments, among others.
