of <h1>Notification Sets New Currency Exchange Rates for Imports, Superseding Previous Rates, Effective March 1, 2003</h1> Notification No.16/2003-Customs (N.T.), dated 25th February 2003, issued by the Government of India's Ministry of Finance, determines the exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees for imported goods, effective from 1st March 2003. This notification supersedes the previous notification No.9/2003-NT-Customs. Schedule I lists the exchange rates for individual units of currencies like the Australian Dollar (28.70 INR), US Dollar (47.90 INR), and Euro (51.50 INR), among others. Schedule II specifies the rate for 100 units of the Japanese Yen at 40.50 INR.
